This customer, a nursery owner who sells pine and cedar trees imported from Japan, designed a Japanese garden on their property. The garden aims to maximize the appeal of the pine and cedar trees, which are the products they sell. To ensure that the garden stands up to the magnificent trees, which are rare even in Japan, approximately 20 tons of landscape stones were arranged to represent Mount Penglai.
Mount Penglai is a mystical mountain in ancient Chinese legend, believed to be inhabited by immortals. It has been traditionally used in Japanese gardens through the Penglai-style garden technique. Landscape stones modeled after this mountain add depth and historical Feng Shui significance to the garden. Furthermore, leveraging Japan's meticulous garden design and techniques, we pursued harmony and the beauty of nature.
